Our Story

Vom Hause Hushon Rottweilers LLC was founded on a simple belief: every family deserves a healthy, well-bred Rottweiler they can trust and be proud of. We are a small, selective breeding program that prioritizes quality over quantity in everything we do.

As both dog lovers and a working farm family, we understand the importance of a dog that is sound in body and mind. Our Rottweilers are raised alongside our daily life — they are part of our family first, and everything else second.

We are committed to continuous improvement in our program. That means investing in health testing, studying pedigrees, learning from experienced mentors in the breed, and never settling for "good enough."

Health Is Non-Negotiable

Our breeding dogs are health tested before they are ever bred — hips, elbows, and JLPP, scored under OFA in the US and the FCI/ADRK equivalent system (HD-A/HD-Frei, ED-0/ED-Frei) for our European imports. We don't believe you can build a great dog on a broken foundation.

Temperament Matters Most

A beautiful Rottweiler with a poor temperament is a liability, not an asset. We select for confident, stable, biddable dogs that are safe with families, good with children, and possess the natural guarding instincts the breed is known for — without aggression or nervousness.

Structure & Type

We breed toward the Rottweiler standard — strong bone, correct angulation, powerful movement, and that unmistakable Rottweiler head and expression. Our goal is dogs that are built to work and built to last.

Raised as Family

Our dogs are not kennel dogs. They live in our home, ride in the truck, and work alongside us on the farm. Puppies are handled daily from birth — weighed, tracked individually, and given hands-on attention from the start. As they grow, they go outside with the adult dogs and get exposed to the farm, the driveway, other animals, and everyday life.

Selective Breeding

We are a small program by design. We only breed when we have a pairing that we believe will improve upon what we already have. We are not a puppy mill and we are not a volume breeder. Every litter is planned with purpose.

Ongoing Support

Our relationship with puppy families doesn't end at pickup. We're available for training guidance, nutrition advice, and health questions. If at any point a Vom Hause Hushon puppy needs to be rehomed, we ask that you contact us first so we can help find the right solution.

What We Look for in Puppy Families

We are selective about where our puppies go because we care about their futures. We look for families who:

✓ Are open to communication and follow-up
✓ Will maintain recommended veterinary care and health testing

We are happy to work with first-time Rottweiler owners who have done their research and are committed to doing things right. We'd rather place a puppy with an enthusiastic first-timer than an experienced owner who cuts corners.
