The following is the full text of our Limited Health Guarantee & Purchase Agreement. Every buyer receives a printed copy signed at the time of sale. We publish it here so you know exactly what to expect before you inquire about a puppy. Final printed copies may include minor formatting differences and the buyer-specific information block.

Section 1 — Breeder Representations at Time of Sale

Vom Hause Hushon Rottweilers LLC represents that at the time of sale this puppy has been:

  • Examined by a licensed veterinarian and found to be in good health
  • Current on age-appropriate vaccinations per veterinary protocol
  • Dewormed per standard breeder protocol
  • Free of internal and external parasites to the best of the breeder’s knowledge
  • Provided with appropriate socialization and nutrition from birth

Section 2 — Limited Hereditary Health Guarantee

Vom Hause Hushon Rottweilers LLC guarantees this puppy against life-debilitating hereditary defects for a period of 24 months from the date of birth. Qualifying conditions are limited to:

  • Hereditary hip dysplasia graded Moderate or Severe by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA);
  • Hereditary elbow dysplasia graded Moderate or Severe by OFA; and
  • Juvenile Laryngeal Paralysis and Polyneuropathy (JLPP), clinically affected (genetic homozygous positive).

In the event of a qualifying hereditary condition, the remedy shall be a replacement puppy from the next available Vom Hause Hushon Rottweilers LLC litter of comparable AKC registration type (Limited or Full as originally purchased). Cash refunds are not offered under any circumstance. The buyer may keep the original dog or return it to Vom Hause Hushon Rottweilers LLC at the buyer’s discretion.

To activate this guarantee the buyer must:

  • Notify Vom Hause Hushon Rottweilers LLC in writing within 30 days of veterinary diagnosis. Written notice may be delivered by email to info@hushonrottweilers.com, by certified mail, or by hand delivery.
  • Provide a written diagnosis from a licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, confirmed by a second independent licensed veterinarian.
  • Provide veterinary records demonstrating that routine preventative care (annual wellness, vaccinations, parasite prevention) was maintained throughout the dog’s life.
  • Provide veterinary records showing the dog’s body condition was within a healthy range at the most recent examination preceding diagnosis.

Section 3 — Conditions Not Covered

This guarantee does not cover and Vom Hause Hushon Rottweilers LLC accepts no liability for:

  • Infectious or contagious disease including but not limited to parvovirus, distemper, or kennel cough contracted after leaving Vom Hause Hushon Rottweilers LLC’s care
  • Any condition resulting from the buyer’s failure to vaccinate, deworm, or provide routine veterinary care
  • Injuries, accidents, trauma, or illness caused by environmental factors after the date of sale
  • Conditions resulting from improper nutrition, obesity, or inadequate care
  • Conditions resulting from excessive or forced exercise while the dog was under 12 months of age, including but not limited to long-distance running, repetitive jumping, or forced leash running alongside a bicycle or vehicle. This exclusion applies only to forced exercise performed before the dog reached 12 months of age; structured conditioning of the adult dog is not excluded.
  • Behavioral issues of any kind
  • Hip or elbow dysplasia in a dog not maintained at a healthy body weight — obesity is a recognized contributing factor in joint disease
  • Any hereditary condition with documented onset of symptoms after 24 months from the date of birth
  • Conditions in a dog that was bred before completion of full health testing at 24 months of age
  • Any claim where the dog has not been examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of purchase
  • Conditions in a dog that has been rehomed, transferred, or sold to another party without prior written consent from Vom Hause Hushon Rottweilers LLC
  • Cosmetic faults including but not limited to minor umbilical hernias, retained baby teeth, coat variations, or bite irregularities
  • Allergies, food sensitivities, or skin conditions
  • Conditions in a dog that has been spayed or neutered before 18 months of age, unless medically necessary as determined in writing by a licensed veterinarian

Section 4 — Buyer Responsibilities

By signing this agreement the buyer agrees to:

  • Have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of purchase — failure to do so voids this guarantee entirely
  • Maintain all recommended vaccinations and provide routine veterinary care throughout the dog’s life
  • Feed a premium large-breed appropriate diet and maintain a healthy body weight — consult your veterinarian for brand and feeding recommendations
  • Avoid excessive forced exercise while the dog is under 12 months of age to protect developing joints — free play and normal activity are encouraged, but no long-distance running, forced jogging, or repetitive high-impact exercise until the dog reaches 12 months. Structured adult conditioning programs may resume after 12 months at the buyer’s discretion
  • Not spay or neuter this dog before 18 months of age unless medically necessary as determined by a licensed veterinarian — early spay/neuter is linked to increased risk of joint disorders and certain cancers in large breeds
  • Not breed this dog before 24 months of age and completion of OFA hip, elbow, and JLPP health clearances — breeding without prior written authorization from Vom Hause Hushon Rottweilers LLC voids this guarantee
  • Microchip this dog within a reasonable period after purchase and register the microchip in the buyer’s name with current contact information
  • Notify Vom Hause Hushon Rottweilers LLC immediately if the dog develops any serious health condition
  • Never surrender this dog to a shelter or rescue without first contacting Vom Hause Hushon Rottweilers LLC — we will take our dog back
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding dog ownership, licensing, and control
  • Keep contact information current with Vom Hause Hushon Rottweilers LLC for the life of the dog

Section 5 — Return Policy

Vom Hause Hushon Rottweilers LLC will accept the return of any dog from our breeding program at any time and for any reason — no questions asked. We do not want our dogs surrendered to shelters or placed in unknown homes. The buyer agrees to contact Vom Hause Hushon Rottweilers LLC before rehoming this dog for any reason.

Returned dogs are accepted as a courtesy. Sale price is non-refundable on returned dogs unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by both parties prior to return. The buyer is responsible for all transportation costs associated with returning the dog.

Section 6 — Assumption of Risk & Indemnification

The buyer acknowledges that Rottweilers are a large, powerful breed requiring responsible ownership, proper training, socialization, and management. The buyer accepts full responsibility for the dog’s behavior, training, socialization, and management from the moment of purchase.

The buyer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Vom Hause Hushon Rottweilers LLC and its members, managers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, injuries, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising from or related to the dog’s behavior after the date of sale, including but not limited to bites, attacks, property damage, or injuries to any person or animal.

Vom Hause Hushon Rottweilers LLC makes no representations or guarantees regarding the dog’s future temperament, behavior, or suitability for any specific purpose including but not limited to protection, therapy, service, or breeding. The buyer assumes all risk associated with dog ownership.

Section 7 — Limitation of Liability

The total liability of Vom Hause Hushon Rottweilers LLC under this guarantee shall not exceed the original purchase price of the dog. Vom Hause Hushon Rottweilers LLC shall not be liable for any consequential, incidental, or special damages including but not limited to veterinary expenses, loss of income, or emotional distress. The replacement puppy remedy described in Section 2 represents the sole and exclusive remedy available to the buyer under this agreement.

Section 8 — Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved in York County, Pennsylvania.

Section 9 — General Provisions

Entire Agreement. This Agreement, together with any separate written breeding agreement referenced herein, constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the sale of this dog and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous oral or written agreements, representations, or understandings.

Modification. This Agreement may be modified only by a written instrument signed by both parties. No oral modification shall be enforceable.

Severability. If any provision of this Agreement is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Notice. Any notice required under this Agreement shall be in writing and may be delivered by email to info@hushonrottweilers.com, by certified mail, or by hand delivery to the address on file.
